Both the G37 Sedan and G37 Coupe receive extensive revisions for the new model year:
* G37 Sedan features a new 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine with VVEL (Variable Valve Event and Lift) technology
* G37 Coupe adds a new all-wheel drive model, the Infiniti G37x Coupe AWD, with the advanced ATESSA E-TS™ intelligent all-wheel drive system
* Both G37 Sedan and G37 Coupe also offer a new 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) mode and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC)
* Both offer standard Scratch Shield paint
Now designated as the Infiniti G37 Sedan, other major changes include newly available sport brakes, a new sport 18-inch wheel design and standard Scratch Shield paint (self-healing clearcoat finish). The 2009 G37 Sedan is available in four models – G37, G37 Journey, G37S Sport 6MT and G37x AWD.
For 2009, the G37 Coupe’s performance envelope expands with the addition of the new G37x AWD model with advanced ATESSA E-TSÔ all-wheel drive system. Also new is a 7-speed automatic transmission with Drive Sport (DS) Mode and Downshift Rev Matching (the G37 Coupe is also available with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission). The 2009 G37 Coupe is available in four models – G37, G37 Journey, G37S Sport 6MT and G37x AWD – each with standard 330-horsepower 3.7-liter VQ-series V6 with VVEL technology.
Mazda 6 Facelift
Mazda UK has announced that the European version of the facelifted Mazda 6 will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010 shortly after the JDM Mazda Atenza facelift was announced.In Europe, the car gets the same 2.0 DISI direct injection normally aspirated engine as the JDM Atenza, but the engine range also includes a 2.2 liter MZR-CD turbodiesel available in three different power outputs ranging from 120 PS up to 180 PS. There is also a smaller 1.8 liter MZR petrol engine and the familiar 2.5 liter petrol engine that we get in Malaysia.
New to the Mazda 6 facelift other than its updated looks are a new pivoting adaptive front lighting system and hill-launch assist.
